BACKGROUND:

The Toy Foundation™ (TTF) believes in a world where every child has the opportunity to experience the benefits of play.

TTF created the Children’s Hospital Play Grants program to support children’s hospitals that serve economically disadvantaged communities. Through the distribution of funds and/or toys, play has the power to improve a child’s wellbeing and hospital experience to help them heal more effectively so they can return home faster.

Play grants will be awarded to children’s hospitals and health systems in the United States to support play-related projects and activities taking place in the 2025 calendar year. Grants will range from $5,000 to $25,000 based on the project and need.

Toy donations will be distributed to children’s hospitals all year long as TTF is able.

APPLICATION:

This application is comprised of five sections: background information; project narrative; project criteria; assurances; and additional opportunities.

Note: Only one grant application per hospital will be accepted

Timeline:

  • October 1, 2024 – Application available
  • November 8, 2024 – Deadline to submit application
  • December 20, 2024 – 2025 grantees notified
  • January 2025 – 2025 grantees announced and funds distributed
